Our thermal hybrid timber frame home integrates traditional timber frame
construction, which uses mortise and tenon joinery (wooden pegs), with
conventional framing. This model home features Ohio hardwoods, traditional
Amish craftsmanship and more than 50 aspects that represent energy conservation,
green construction and products made in Ohio. Through co-operative efforts with
Ohio-based suppliers and manufacturers this home showcases, and integrates,
energy-conserving technologies to demonstrate that solutions for reducing energy
costs can be found right here in Ohio.
